Event News: History, Mystery & Murder Tour at Greenmount Cemetery

This Halloween, take a stroll through Greenmount Cemetery and hear frightful tales from Springfield’s past.

Guided by local historian Kevin Rose, listen to true stories unearthed in Victorian newspapers and old dusty archives, including the spooky tale of Thomas Kizer’s untimely death, the true story of Stephen Bell’s glass-top casket, and the chilling account of the Graveyard Ghost.

The tour is scheduled to meet in front of the Westcott Center Museum store, which sits adjacent to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Westcott House. Parking is available along South Greenmount Avenue. Make sure to dress for the weather. Flashlights are encouraged.

General admission tickets are $18 and $15 for Westcott Members. The Westcott Center is limiting each tour to 20 people.
